Colorful Micro-wedding | Westchester NY

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year, 2021 has begun. It’s the beginning of the year and I’m trying to be positive this year for brighter days.

Today I would like to share the story of our client Nina who wanted to get married to her love. She was referred to us by an awesome couple Alyse & Brittany, we designed their wedding at Whitby Castle.

She reached out and we started the process. She knew she wanted colorful and romantic. Like anybody when you start this process of planning and start to envision your special day you don’t know where to start or know how to put those ideas to real life. Since this was during the pandemic (btw we’re still in the pandemic smh ) consultations and meetings were done via phone calls and emails. We actually did a site visit (of course with masks) to get a full understanding of the space we were designing for. Which is extremely helpful because you don’t want to feel like your forgetting something and to have a complete design.

Created by Evelisa Floral & Design. We created an inspiration board for our couple. There’s not one board that is the same they’re all unique.

Team member Amanda and myself went to see her space. Nina showed us the backyard and inside her place because you have to have plan B. She originally wanted to get married outside but we had to be realistic. Sometimes the weather has another plan. We recommended a design that can work inside and outside. She was so happy that we were flexible with the design. Everyone is going through a tough time in the Pandemic we wanted to make this day as stress free as possible.

Even up to the day before I reached out to her to help decide whether to have the ceremony inside as it was predicted to rain and it did. But I did my research, there was going to be a window of time that it was going to be just cloudy for about two hours. So we setup the garlands for the fence and the rest inside. Nina was able to take some pictures outside.

This was considered a “Micro wedding” because of the size but Nina did not sacrifice the beauty on this day. Even though weddings look different due to this pandemic “Love is not cancelled”. Check out our Blog on how you can still make your micro wedding beautiful CLICK HERE

Nina and Matthew’s wedding was beautiful! And they enjoyed it. Nina absolutely loved her Bouquet and I have to say we loved it too!
