Hello I wanted to introduce to you my team! Which by the way I'm SO thankful for. Yesterday was Thanksgiving and I'm still feeling how blessed I am, from my two children, my husband, family and especially my team at Evelisa Floral & Design. They really make the saying "Team work makes the dream work". We all support eachother with hard work, sweat, and at times lots of laughs.

Check out some pics of my team. We're usually so focused on executing the event we forget to take pics of ourselves. There is one person who is also very important to the team but Maritza doesn't do pics but I think this year I can get her to take a pic I feel like I'm close lol.

We just finished doing a wedding in New Rochelle NY. Got an USSIE!

The White Bouquet

Hello :)

Spring is here but it actually doesn't feel like it as it is very cold. I think winter has decided no I'm going to stay for a little while longer. The time is flying by and have been trying to stay organize at home and business. The past two weeks the flu has swept through the homefront and it was challenging as my office and studio are in my home. So team meetings, Consultations with clients and other operations were rescheduled. I went through emails and other administrative operations but no contact with others as the flu spreads like wild fire. Ok now that I vented lol. I wanted to share with you this pearl white Bride's Bouquet.

We did this in January. We were in LOVE with this bouquet that I had to get it photographed before I delivered it. We had it photographed by Daniel Pacheco-Vasquez from Dpsnapsphotography. Check out his Instagram @dpsnapsphotography.

I had a consultation with a Bride to be and she was in love with this specific bouquet she found on Pinterest. It contained pearls of all different shapes and strands of pearls. She showed me but she knew it was very expensive and she was on a budget. So based off the inspiration she showed me in the consultation and considered her budget I created this bouquet. What do you think of it?

The bouquet in the black and white photo makes it a classic. I think having Inspiration is awesome and it can come from anywhere but it's  a plus when you have a professional that can understand you and be able to translate that inspiration into a reality. 2017 Color of the year

Hello!

It's 2017 and January has flew by. I hope you enjoyed the holidays with friends and family. My daughter was sick for Christmas :( It seemed to be something that was going around in her school and it finally hit her on that day. But we made the best of it.

Today I wanted to discuss the color of the year which is...... "Greenery". I think it's amazing for the floral world. We use greenery with everything and it seems to be a trend using all different types of greenery. I remember growing up the only greenery I knew and the flower shops used were leather leaves but now the sky is the limit for greenery. I love how Pantone's choice is bright. I've been hearing mixed reviews but let's see what Brides to be of 2017 are choosing so far. I haven't seen one yet.

The use of the Pantone's color "Greenery" if you take a closer look is in alot of things especially in flowers. The majority of stems and leaves are literally this color. Let's a look at a couple of examples.

The color of the year wasn't only used in the florals but in the wineglasses, napkins and candles. I think the lime on each plate setting is so cute and unique. I think it doesn't have to look like a forest to achieve this color scheme.  Look at the next example from Strictlyweddings.com.

On "strictlyweddings.com" blog they created this inspiration of Pantone's color of the year.

"Greenery" is definitely present here. This was one of our boutonnieres we created

This is from our Instagram page @evelisafloral_design, we used these cymbidiums in a fall wedding we did last year.
