This year has started and we are already in February. I usually take this time to organize and plan. I plan out my events and think of other ways to design. I try to clean my work space as well but it takes real effort because its not my most favorite thing to do lol. But once that is done I feel much better. It's sort of a relief.
When planning I do some research on what's the hottest trends for the year. The most popular thing that brides like to know is what is the Pantone color of the year. Last year it was Marsala, a very deep red. This year the Pantone colors of the year are Rose Quartz and Serenity.
These colors create such a soft palette that I can see why they would become a trend for this year. Another trend that is very popular are the use of metallics. The use of Copper has become super chic in designs. Copper became really popular in 2015 and has rolled into 2016.
So in between consultations and planning for bridal shows, I love to look at inspiration whether it's paintings or nature. I love to look at DIY projects too even though I don't have time to do them I keep them in a special to do list.
The photo above definitely has the colors of 2016 and it's incredible. This photo is from Vogue UK. This picture gives me peace.
So take the time to observe your surroundings and let them inspire you.
